Vacuum metallization is a finishing process which is used mainly in the plastics industry. To obtain a mirror-like surface very high quality surfaces should be metallized. These surfaces are mostly obtained when a low-viscosity fluid is converted to a solid film. Base-coats developed by RadSys for vacuum metallization show excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including BMC and many thermoplastics. They are easily metallized and show a very high durability.
